“My daughter and I attended the Upstate Women’s Show last year. I am 54 and my daughter is 27. My husband had 2 strokes 20 months ago, and my daughters worked it out so one of them could stay with my husband, while the other one attended the show. They thought it would be a nice break for me and we thoroughly enjoyed our day.

My daughter that attended with me is a 3rd grade teacher in Oconee County, with a Master’s in Special Education from Clemson. She is also the Mother of a 5 month old little boy.
I work in marketing and operations in the information technology field. I work from home, take care of my husband, and watch my 6 year old grand daughter after school in the afternoons.
Our life is very busy, extremely stressful and the show was a nice break from my day to day routine.

I found one of my favorite pieces of jewelry at the show last year and it always reminds me of how wonderful the day was and how therapeutic it was for me to have a break. Of course, all of it made possible by our loving, caring daughters. In fact this year, I am hoping to work it out that both of my daughters, and my Mom, can attend. ”
